If that were mine, and get a second hood and set of wheels to get painted for it. How many Golden Eagle hoods and wheels exist with the factory paint/ decals! The hood atleast would sure look sick hanging in a garage!

^^hmmmm....really not a bad idea. I know of a couple wagoneers in the salvage yard by my house too.... Not so much "attached" to the wheels. But the hood IS sweet.

Thanks for the idea! I honestly hadnt even thought about it.

I have to Agree with Austin on this one.. I have my Decals, & original Goldie Wheels, & if i were gonna choose a different theme, i would find other parts to paint up.. Still can't wait to see how she turns out Charlie.. .. I may have a gentleman who can reproduce my G.E. Decals for me, so I'm gonna give it a try.. Catch ya soon Bud..

an update to the longest build ever haha
Been mostly wrenching on the car lately and have neglected ifsja and goldie. But some progress has been made.

New BJs poly body mounts in
body is loosely bolted on. Got to get some more hardware
            rear springs/axle in
front springs/axle mostly in. Ran into an issue that 3 hours with a sledge hammer managed to make worse. Need some luck to get it back apart and new hardware. There's something about old corroded bolts and new tight fitting bushing sleeves that dont go together. The pic below is with the rear springs only.

Then onto finishing welding on the floorpan and paint the undercarraige/firewall.

Sort of undecided on final frame/axle paint. I want something durable. Thinking Hammerite or Tractor paint...

please excuse the excessive lube and antiseize. Probably shouldve cleaned it before pics.

I actually clamped the seats in last night and lady and I hung out for a little while. Its been nearly 2 years since Ive sat in it! hahaha

That is exactly what I did...I have 2 different golden eagle hoods hanging in my garage, an original brown, and my white one from my GE chero.

If you aren't interested in keeping the factory gold wheels, I've been looking for a nice set for my GE. Let me know if you want to get rid of them.

That frame looks clean enough to eat off of! Did you make a final choice on paint?
You know it's bad when your car's on the EPA's 10 most wanted list!
