Just beautiful! Love the Jeep and that the Jk lift idea worked with the Cherokee.

You had me fooled even when you said in one of the comments about the added support for the rear suspension because it wasn't designed with coils.

I normally don't read that kind of thought process, usually it's "built new coil buckets and the rear suspension is in." but the only thought I had to that was "these guys are really detailed."

Now it's time to take it further and get some Power Wagon axles in there!

Thank you and all the "real Jeep nuts" for all your efforts in the Power Wagon and Rubicon.

I have NEVER heard that in reference to a FSJ ??

Actually, my fuel gauge is not working right.. Oops. So, have a little rework to do yet. But I think it's actually doing pretty well as the trans has a deep OD.

Of course, then there's my right foot. Seems to go deep into the throttle sometimes . . .

I just read all 40 pages of this build. All i can say is...WOW!

This is by far one of the best builds i have seen in a long time. The attention to detail, engineering, and creativity is unsurpassed! It is absolutely beautiful! I hope i am one day lucky enough to see it in person (and maybe drive it?? ).

And to make iteven better, it was partially sponsored by Chrysler. Props to them for giving you a hand. And tell your build team that it was well worth the 3000+ hours that they and you put in!

                  Amazing!

You know, I laugh at that line daily. Especially times like now when it is once again in the garage and all over the garage and under the house, and in the back of my truck, and in the back of the 78 Cherokee. . . I hope I can find it all when it comes time to reassemble! Running out of places to stash stuff where the HOA wont complain.

Engine: Waiting on the diagnosis from the builder and word on whether he fixed it or is building a new one.. I have the engine bay torn apart and am cleaning and painting it in the meantime. Trying to decide on right color for the bay based on potential future bodywork and paint.. I don't think I will be able to go as far as you and Krek on stripping everything down to the chassis.

I WILL make the radio work. I have to find a mounting method to secure it and the accessories. It is just too cool not to be in use. My intent is for it to be the only thing seen, but to also have a modern CD player in the dash or future center console. It is safely packed away for the moment. I don't know how to thank you for it. Please let me know if I can ever help with anything.
One day I will wake up and realize that my jeep is complete...one day, I just know it.

Will be in Ouray until the 9th... Could be fun to pop over & see what's up... Haven't been there, since crewing for Sneezy & his son, when Chris set a Bandemere class record for DT/SA a few years back...

[ Hi Steve ! Fishing Friday... you comin' back to Mich soon ??]
I believe the year was 1997, but in my advancing years my memory is not a good as it once was... It could have been last week ... or last century...

Haven't firmed up any plans for a Michigan visit just yet. Am leaving in the morning, headed for Ouray and to visit Silverton's fireworks, for the 4th of July. Will be there about a week, before heading home.

                                Good luck with your fishing...
