Installed ram assist on my FSJ

Hello all. I recently installed a ram assist on to my steering system on my 1986 Grand Wagoneer. This rig is used primarily for commuting and for my wheel replacement tracks. I upgraded the power steering pump by modding it for both increased flow at low rpms and for higher pressure. I installed a power steering ram from an older model Ford that used a ram system from the factory. It is an equal speed each direction single ended ram. I tapped the Jeep power steering box and hooked the lines directly to it. The axle mount for the ram consists of cutting the tapered mount off of the Ford system and welding it to the track bar mount on the Jeep D44 axle. I'll be adding another bracket mirroring the one on the tie-rod and possibly tacking it in place. It turned out really clean and simple. When cold the system is slower. After it warms up there is no noticible reduction in turning speed. Now to keep the belt from slipping. It hasn't yet but experience tells me it will. Here's some pics.

I imagine that original steering-damper is somewhat redundant now...

Not sure. I'll leave it on for now. Next round of improvements may see it go away.

I have the Rhino grille and round headlights. Woodgrain is coming off soon to be replaced with something else. Not sure I want to install the Rhino on this one though. We'll see. Looking forward to more snow up here. It's been very cold for weeks. Around -15 at times. That's cold for this time of year around Anchorage.
