The six digit Engine Code is stamped on the pad at the right upper center of the block.

1st Digit - Year

2nd & 3rd Digit - Month

4th Digit - Type

A- 6-258 1V Carb, 8.0:1 Compression Ratio

C- 6-258 2V Carb, 8.0:1 CR

M- 6-258 2V Carb, 8.0:1 CR (VAM/Built in Mexico)

5th & 6th Digit - Day of Month
