M715 fenders, SOA & WT axles on a Waggy

Wondering if anyone here has done anything similar to this...

My 89 Grand Waggy needs some miner wiring work to be a driver. I have a Howell EFI kit to install and need to pay a visit to my friendly IM guru to get her street leagle. Then I will have a driver I can start building.

Thinking about just using the FSJ/M715 parts I have to build the hell out of the 89 Grand Waggy.

I'm invisioning 6" of lift with 35 to 38 inch tires and D60's front and rear.

I have nearly everything on hand other then the tires and the rear gears and locker and PSD t case for a 727.

I'd get the lift from going spring over front and rear. I have a CUCV front with a locker and 4:56 gears and a J20 D60 rear with 3:73. I'd use the M715 fenders I have up front and need to hack the rear fernders but I think I could clean the look up with a set of rear bushwacker XJ flairs.

All I need is time, tires, rear gears with locker and a passenger drop Tcase that will bolt up to a 727.

OK what I'm wondering is how big a tire can I get on the rear of a waggy with a D60 J20 rear axle done SOA? I have no problem cutting the rear fenders but was hopping maybe the XJ bushwacker pocket flairs would give me what I need. The front will be M715 fenders so there wont be any issues there.

Do a search for Hammer's build of a cherokee with M715 fenders. Different idea than yours, but at least some good pics that will give you an idea of how much you'll be cutting into the back doors.

This is Hammer's Cherokee with M715 front fenders and fabricated rear fenders.

And here is the rear door on a Waggy cut to fabricate rear fenders to match:

There are more photos of the Wag in my "ChopTop" thread in my signature.

How big a tire can I get away with in teh rear of a 4 door with a spring over and J truck axle? It's a pretty clean truck right now but i don't mind cutting and making room for tires...
