I found it again in the back of my shop a couple years ago. LOL!
She is rough as a cob and borderline restorable at this point. It had a merciless 156,000 miles on it when I parked it in 1980something.

I pulled her out of my shop with my Mighty Mite so that I could add on.

The AMX is a 1969 290 4 speed car with the "Light Group" being the only option. They made 619 AMX's with the 290, 4spd in 1969.
Side pipes were scrapped and the tires and wheels went on my Brother's '67 Rebel. He eventually sold the Rebel.

This one is actually more rare. It is a 1968 343 4spd AMX. They only made 415 of these.

You have got to do the red AMX. I f you don't I will drive up there myself and disassemble it, so you'll HAVE to put it back together.

                      Keep on truckin' Rick!

Here is the latest version of my waste oil burner. I had made a wood stove conversion that worked OK but I couldn't trust it. If I could sit there and watch it and adjust the oil flow and air flow every 10 min or so it was fine. It was either an inferno or the fire would go out. If the fire went out, the pot filled with oil and then I had to bail it out. It would get so hot that it warped the inside of the stove. The stove had seen better days anyway so now it is scrap metal.
Enter the Siegler.. I bought this one of of CL a few years ago. It is exactly like the one that my Grandpa had. I cleaned out the carburetor, re-plumbed it with a secondary filter, and put a new blower in it. The plan is to start it on Kerosene and once it is going switch it to my waste oil blend. The first batch was a 50/50 mix of used 10w40 brake-in oil and #2 fuel oil. I know the key to burning this stuff is to get all of the particles out that I can. The carburetor jet is small it it won't take much to plug it. I poured the mixture through a paint strainer before I put it in my tank.

The way that dyno chart is charted makes that engine look peaky but it's got >500hp and >575ft/# at 4500RPM. Wow! That would be sooo fun to drive!

I notice the oil filter faces the front of the car. How is that? Do you know what car this engine is going in?

I have to be honest, I always get super stoked to see updates here but each time you post an update, I know your retirement is rolling closer and I am a little sad, too.
