Is anyone running dual pipes front to back on their wagoneer? does it need to be lifted to clear the pipes? Do the pipes run together or on opposite sides? There doesn't seem to be that much room on the driver's side.

Run a single 3" down the pass side and then split it in the back...at least that is what I am going to do on the 78 Waggy. And unlike the PO I plan on bolting in the crossover instead of welding.

Ok, if I go with a 3 inch primary then I was thinking of doing two separate turndowns from the manifolds in 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 and bring them both to the passenger side in a over/under fashion and join them with a Y-pipe into a 3 inch collector (Flowmaster Y214300A, or Y250300A respectively) and then I would run a straight 3" exhaust all the way out.
The other option would be a true dual, both on the same side again over/under with a small H pipe beside the bellhousing and 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 side by side all the way back, exiting in the stock location.

Sounds good. A pair of 2-1/4 pipes = about 8 sq.in. area, single 3" = about 7.
