front drum brake return springs Bendix

bottom line...are both upper return springs each the same size? i found a spring kit that that has them equal in size and they don't match whats on now. shorter , longer, weaker, stronger? my TSM gives no info on differences.

are primary spring, secondary spring , stronger or weaker ?..or does it matter? i should know this but i haven't worked on them in a decade.

    all insight welcome.

    much obliged folks..

The two top return springs are the same. I'd suggest you throw away all the old springs and use new. Spring kits are cheap for the Bendix brakes.
