In the end, who knows what will be written up and where - They decide, not us.
All seemed to like the Chero and got a little seat time if they wanted to drive ... of course, I rode shotgun to keep them safe [ or maybe the Jeep ]
Seems most of the magazine guys really like full size Jeeps ! Us too !! lolLast edited by cu4whln; 05-16-2009, 02:14 PM.It's not yours 'til ya bleed on it . . . https://forums.ifsja.org/core/images...s/rolleyes.png

Hours so Far : 593
So - have been taking the Jeep apart here and there.... mostly wiring stuff, which sucks btw and some trim work too. Moved my CJ over to my freinds back yard for a few weeks. Tough working on this thing in a small 2 car garage !
Trying to get all the details done before the next showing....
At least now I can open the doors without hitting something. However, now I have to clean out the garage.. it's obvious to me now, that I had been stacking "stuff" up against the walls. Now, it's a mess that need to be organized and stored. Gonna tackle that this weekend me thinks....
And Red Mistress is coming through with some better rear 3 pc bumpers.. oh yea ! The new ones will not have the black rubber inserts.
Oh - and the 6.1 Hemi badges finally showed up.. a little late, but put those on too.
My computer crashed, and now I am having issues loading pics. Can you load pics right from the camera to Photobucket? Seems I lost the picture program in the crash.. Hmmm
Summer plans include some local cruise nights and a car show or two....then the Woodward Ave cruise, which is huge...then it'll be off to SEMA in November. It's not yours 'til ya bleed on it . . . https://forums.ifsja.org/core/images...s/rolleyes.png

FSJK
Glad to help...I'm going to unwrap that rear center section from factory packing and put first finger print on it...
The ends are NOS also...but were stored outside all last summer and winter...so they'll need some elbow grease.
Once again... thank you...for building such an incredible FSJ machine !!
If like the old country song... Shutting Detroit down...happens...I have several engineering jobs in oilfield for U in TX.67 Gladiator 15K J3000 AMC 327, PTO, 35" BFG's

hey red! nice jeep to put a nos bumper on! i would love to fly over and see it in person. maybe sometime this summer!!! so i can come and visit you and the rest of the folks that did an amazing job.
i'm slowly moving on with the j10 and the m715 - i'll post some pictures later. i had the front bumper of the honcho polished (aluminum) but it did not end up as nice as i expected. you wouldn't, by any chance have a nice wide track 1 piece front bumper.
i remember a post a couple of months ago with about 10 NOS front bumpers. can you help? thanks a lot and see you soon!!!Daniel van Doveren

Oh, and I don't think you had answered my question about the tires; how did they do? (and how are they on the street if applicable?)

[ Even though, it does "OK" on the acceleration and power side ]
As for the new GoodYear MT/Rs.. I absolutely love them.
Very grippy on the rocks.. and on road, they are really much quieter than the original design. And I have run the originals on several vehicles. I do love MT/Rs though.... as I am a rock crawling guy. The sidewalls are better than any tire I have ever tested out.
The new design does not load up in the mud like the originals.. they clean a lot better. A very good overall tire for various overall Jeep use. Yep, I'll spend my dollars on them again...Last edited by cu4whln; 06-01-2009, 06:33 PM.It's not yours 'til ya bleed on it . . . https://forums.ifsja.org/core/images...s/rolleyes.png

However : I just don't think I can afford it frankly.
Have to pay off the credit card now-seems the wife "noticed" the bill
Maybe I can save my dollars for a trip next year...
I would love to go wheelin with some other FSJs. It's a real challange to wheel something this big when I've been a Wrangler / CJ guy for so long. [ Excluding the XJ, which is currently a road warrior ]
