Have you looked at your hamonic balancer to make sure it hasnt came completely apart?? GSMIKE should know more about clutch chatter, but I am almost willing to lean towards that.

it could be clutch chatter (I think related to incorrect pressure being applied to them) in the th400, But generally speaking even without a load you would feel something related to the vibration....

my professional opinion is that the vibration is located in or after the output of the tcase.( bearings, yokes, ujoints, shafts or axles) you could even have a slightly bent output shaft on the tcase
