The 5 digit Engine Code is stamped on a machined surface of the Cylinder Block on the left side, between the front Exhaust Manifold ports.

1st Digit - Built For

K- Kaiser Jeep Corporation

2nd Digit - Year

P- 1968

R- 1969

S- 1970

T- 1971

3rd Digit - Compression Ratio

9.0:1 with 2V Carb.

4th & 5th Digit - Day of Year plus any change.

Note: A Certification Decal stating compliance with Federal Motor Vehicle Standards is located on the rear drivers side door pillar.
