Good Truck Gone Bad

Ok, it's not my taste, well at least the finishing pieces, it took someone a bit of work, but they stuck a crap magnet on this Gladiator and drug it down the tacky aisle at the local $1 auto parts store.

On a CJ7 frame? I think a few decent trucks died to make that thing.

Interesting - To each his own

BOY CJ-7 sub-frame somebody put this truck through the
ugly stick autobody works.

Doesn't really appeal to me.

A friend and I used to describe another friend of ours by saying "Talent and taste don't always come in the same package". He did top notch work, quality wise, but it was almost alway hideous in design and color choices

This truck reminds me of him...

Hmmmmm....What's wrong with this:

"It has been sub framed using a 90 CJ-7 frame & running gears, Dana 40's front and rear. ""

Let's see....last year for the CJ-7 was 1986, IIRC. Wrangler YJ came in 1987. Don't think the YJ ever came with Dana 40's, either....come to think of it, what IS a Dana 40? I know Dana 30's and Dana 35's (Which YJs Did have) and Dana 44's....but a Dana 40?

I just threw up in my mouth......alot. I never got the "customizing/modernization" of older vehicles to look newer. It's almost as bad as what they did to the Eleanor Mustang. What a waste of a perfectly good Gladiator. By his parts description, I bet he bought it like that.

Okay...I will get beat for this...but while I do agree this way over the top...
...I kinda like the front bumper treatment...at least the part under bumper with the extra turn singles.

I feel very sad right now, mostly for the poor Gladiator that has been forced to wear a tutu and paraded around in front of the whole world to see his once manly and tough image reduced to a humiliating role in a low budget rendition of Swan Lake, way way off Broadway.

A hood, some bumpers and a sawzall and that thing would be as good as new in about an hour.
