So I am coming with the civic, it will cost 1/4 of the gas money, drives at 75mph... It has OEM tow hooks front and rear unlike the wagoneer, the gauges are working and the dash light are visible at night. And I do not need to carry oil and parts, just snow chains as the weather is getting crazy.

LOL. I had a few Toyota FJ guys gawking at my IHC pickup on that trail but that's a 4x4. Wonder if the Crown Vic was locked

Probably wasn't locked. Some of them have a pretty interesting traction control, though...

I saw this on Jalopnik, thought it was funny as all get out.
The guy knows his vehicle and it's limits that's for sure!

I could make some comment about him being a bicycle rider, but I'll refrain at this time. Look at where the old timers used to take Model As and Ts, they had way less horse power than the Vic. The trails we drive in Ouray that we have 4 wheel drive and 6s and V-8 were once conquered by the lowly 4 banger, 2 wheel drives

back 50 yrs ago, my wifes dad put his 5 girls in the back of his chvy pickup and went over just about every trail near Ouray, 2 wheel drive, granted it was a V8 but not a big 8, could have been a I6. The trails were not as well maintained then either.
Heck Charlie, you could drive your bus where he drove the Vic.
I know how much power that thing has got.

The first time I went up engineers pass was in a 2 wheel drive F-100. The road had a lot of large rocks in it we made it up to where the cable comes down before the radiator said it had enough of us running in granny gear.
Phil The Pumpkin would probably need at least a locker to make it up there

one of these days I'll dig out the video of a kid attempting the go up Potato Salad hill in a Jeep Eagle. was fun watching him, took a lot of tries but he eventually made it.
