Thats kind of radical for a truck unless your going mud racing. If you want low end torque it wouldnt be a good cam. Go for an RV cam between .450-.500 lift.

'Rough Idle' is an under statement! That cam won't idle below 1000 rpm or have any power below 3000.

Years ago I acquired a '79 Cherokee with a 360.
The PO had installed a cam 478 lift 300 duration.
This didn't wake up until you had a few rpm's going. Was terrible off idle.
The PO used it as a block racer. What you would call a "sleeper".
I sold the car to someone who took the motor out and put it in his J-truck.
Didn't work worth a darn. He took it out and sold it to someone else.
Same results.
The last guy ended up taking the cam out and using a stock grind cam.

A cam like that will launch a car into the 11 second 1/4 mile range or launch u joints and drive shafts in an FSJ! A good all around cam spec is the 260-262 on duration.

Excellent choice. Very good street driver cam, low end and up to 5000 RPM or so.
