anyone do a 350/t-18 swap?

My 360 died hard yesterday, and i have a great deal for a chevy crate with 40,000 on it. Has a cam, headers,intake,heads, all done up. My uncle bought it for his truck but says it's to agressive to have seeing the family rides with him. So i am planning on ordering the adapter kit for the t-18 to the sbc 350. Has anyone ran this combo or herd good things? I would hate to run the whole chevy setup seeing i would have to get new driveshafts,etc. Plus my pumkin on the front is driverside, not to mention i love t-18's.
