High-Impact beadlocks... Anyone running them?

I am about to order mine, I just wanted to see if any of you guys had experiance with them...

They are Allied brand.

Also, anyone know of a cheaper source than High-Impact?

Im going with the black 16x10 Rock 8's

have you considered these?

http://www.trailworthyfab.com/Custom-Hummer-Wheels/

want em for my XJ someday. not too much of a price difference, but they are true double beadlocks and you can basically customize them to whatever you can think of.

Why not get some weld-on bead locks? I've had several sets from great lakes offroad. I usually get some 17" cragar wheels from summit (~$80) and a weld-on kit. Get 4 wheels done for under $100 ea.

no experience with them yet but I'm gonna be running them as soon as I get the j10 back running.

I had some military tires/wheels I picked up for a steal and just tossed these in the corner and got new rims for another truck, anyway long story short I sold the tires and these were just laying around waiting to scrap and then I found the recenter stuff. probably be end of year before I do anything but ill try and post pics when I do.

I like those, but I dont really like how narrow HMMWV wheels are. Plus, I have a credit (from a return) at High-Impact, so I am kinda stuck with getting my wheels from them.

Ive never been a fan of the DIY beadlocks. I prefer the shape of the outter ring on the Allied. Its superior to the flat plate that DIY kits use.

BTW, I realize that a lot of people use the DIY kits and many have great results. Im not bashing them, its just a preference.

Dont be upset... It looks like you paid $5 less than me per wheel.

Maybe. I paid $45 a piece for shipping, too. That seems awful high. That's like $1/lb!

I paid $33.75 each for shipping... I wish I would have seen your post a couple hours sooner. High-Impact says that they will beat any price. I could have saved $20. Anyway, my total to my door was $976. I wasnt happy about the high shipping price either. However, I had a $400 credit from a part that I returned so I was kinda forced into picking out something from high-impact. Since I already have a Klune, wheels are really all I needed.

Plus, I sold my HMMWV rims for $300 locally, so I was only out $276 new money. I cant wait until they come in. Im excited to get my hands on them! From the reviews Ive read they look pretty bad-a...

Now all I need is some tires to put on them...

Yeah, I wish we'd gotten together before either of us ordered! Could have saved BOTH of us some money. Total to my door was $1008. Living in WY sucks for shipping, though. Oil-related job makes up for it, a bit.

I've had my tires for two years, just been waiting for AXLES to put them on! 37X14s!!!

Well, actually, that's not entirely true. I've had the axles for almost as long but I got the front D60 because it was missing the long side shaft and everything from the knuckles out. It's taken me this long to (almost) get it rebuilt. It's a 91.5 D60 (not! 61) but I'm putting DRW 79 outer stuff (external locking hubs) on them so it's been a fun learning experience but it should be a fairly tough setup for where I wheel. Overall, I got a $1000 worth of axle for about $700 after all the parts I had to throw at it. Could have been more like $550 if I'd known EXACTLY what I needed. But, I learned a LOT so that's worth it, to me.

My Allied's should be here on Wed, btw. You already have yours or what? I'll have pics up by Thur!

These are a bit bigger than I thought they'd be. Let's hope the rest goes as easily as mounting these did.
