Rear Cargo Area??

Who has replaced the rear cargo area panels of their GWs. What have you used to replace those cardboard wonders that jeep put in there. Has any thought of any thing such as putting a hing on it for further access to the quarter panel?I found an army of ants living inside of mine this past weekend.**PICS would be great!**

I've made a set out of 1/8" ABS for my GW.
using a template

cu4whln had a idea of making the passenger side one piece and using
a piano hinge on a fold down door

I'm using those X-mas tree retainers to hold them in place.
then replacing the carpet.

"edit" here's a photo of the one I made for cu4whln out of ABS
he didn't want speaker holes

I'll shoot you pics of mine. I actually cut some sheet metal the same shape as the cardboard then put the inside cover stuff back on the metal and made some "slip over the bottom lip" things to keep the bottom in place. Got some drawer latch thingys from Granger and modified them to use. I am thinking of redoing them with lighter metal or maybe something else.
Anyway, I can turn the drawer things a 1/4 turn and remove the side pannel for access for storage on both sides. Like I said I will get you pictures as soon as I can.

I´m in the process of replacing the panels at this moment.
I already have one finished.
I made them from 9mm MDF board.

I had some pics I pulled offline (car domain, maybe?) of some panels someone made from hardwood plywood (1/4" maybe?). Stained and added marine-grade speakers. He used a piece of molding along the top to hold in place and added those pop-up T-bars as tie-down points.
I thought it looked pretty dang sharp. The carpet on the wheel wells looked out of place, but the panels were nice.
