Collector Status? Unique parts bringing big money!
So have we finally reached collector status for our rigs? Even with the cost of gas going up, there must still be solid demand for the things..
Of course I have no statistically valid data to support this other than the prices of pieces and parts on ebay and such...
I know that those of you bent on real NOS parts for your high-level restorations are willing to pay premiums for those sealed old boxes, but used parts?
This is the 2nd CB/AM/FM radio I have watched in the last several weeks. I thought it would be neat to have an OEM CB in one of my rigs.
This one sold for
$238!!
It was all there, and looked good, but seller did not even know if it worked!

NOS CB
The NOS one that was in sealed bag sold for 650...
Bad thing, I've heard that CB was typical AMC Quality, meaning that it didn't work very good even when new..

I appreciate the effort and $$ restorers' put into their builds. My parts pile, a little 409 and a fresh coat of paint gets it done for me
