Check out my new DIESEL GW ride, and anybody know friendly MD inspection shop?
Hey y'all, Well, I have finally joined the FSJ family. I bought a diesel-converted GW instead of doing it my ownself, but whatever gets you behind the wheel the fastest, right? here's the details: http://wagoneers.com/FSJ/Omega/ you might already be familiar with the rig, since john is pretty well known in FSJ circles. i feel honored! even a glance at the list of mods done to this waggy will make your head spin, and i am concerned about getting it thru maryland's notoriously nitpicky inspection process. anybody know a shop in md that is friendly to FSJs with let's just say non-stock configurations? gracias! trix

John is a pretty detail oriented person so there shouldn't be much that MD can find to nit-pick... Plus he has it registered as a diesel already so that should help...

yes, but. being detail oriented and also a great guy john looked over the maryland inspection requirements and has identified three potential issues that will likely hang up omega's getting md tags. he knows they're safe, but it's defnitiely coloring outside the lines, so i would like to find some sort of custom shop that knows real mechanic work and isn't just checking off the boxes.
there are a couple things i need to get done once omega gets to maryland, so wherever i took the waggy would get to do the work.
so any tips to good md inspection sites, i'm all ears!
