Started the half doors this weekend...

And got them both cut out after about 4 hours of work. Driver side took about 3.5 hs, and i made a pattern for the pass side, and it only took 30 min to finish it up lol. Anyways, heres a few pics...

O and special thanks to Janie and Bill for the FREE set of doors!!

First cut front side, back roughed in

Final Product...pre capped off

Whoever was using the sawzall must have slipped and cut the brow off (neutered) your truck. Looks like you're going to have to get another cool cab to replace that one.

Lookin' good so far.

That looks pretty cool. Just wondering why did you drop them so low?

Cool. I did'nt see how you kept them closed. is there something special you did like relocating the latch on the door post or did you put a different latching mechanism somewhere? I really dig your rock sliders too are those hand made or did you pick them up somewhere?

If you look close you see a silver square area below the original latch. i used a sliding lock like to keep a door shut inside a house. And the sliders; i copied a design i saw on here. A 30 deg bend on each end spaced out 8" outside to outside. Got lots of pics if you need them.

Oh I see it now looks like a little slide bolt for like a screen door? I don't plan on wheeling my rig hard enough to need sliders but I thought yours were really cool so I thought I let ya know.
