ok, wow, this was tedious, but I like the result, what do you think?

Looks good. I did mine a little while ago with the other print. I'm having a hard time getting the glue to stick. I even used the 3m glue and did it twice. Maybe it's the heat?

thanks Billy, really appreciate your cloth. Havent got to the seat yet, I was letting my upholstery skills develop. I used gorilla glue btw, it was tricky stuff, but I have the process down now. It took me two weeks to do it, making progress a little at a time. I was thinking seriously about covering the dash with it. I could use some more if you have plenty.

Would you like to share that process perchance?
I have enough of the digital to do two door panels, and enough of the camo to make a sail for a small yacht..although that's not exactly the plan

Oh that looks sharp! Awesome work.
I would have gone with CADPAT though, since I'm a little more fond of the Canadian Digital design, more green.

The cloth was a gift from BayBilly, so the price was right. Gambler, essentially you have to put a piece in for each folded area, run the excess into the largest area and glue out of sight, on the back, and where the largest piece will go, this was a bit challenging for me, as there were missing and busted areas of the cardboard I had to fabricate. I used flat strips of linen soaked in gorilla glue to build them up and fix holes. Not too much glue, as in this area with lots of humidity it tends to foam. When it starts setting you have to mash it back down, and form it to the shape, so you can only do small areas at a time. I wish I could of shown you what I started with. Gunracer knows, as he disassembled the head liner before I received it. also in areas where the glue might show, you have to use it very sparingly as you dont want to wet the covering and have a dark spot. This is where I screwed up in a few places. Ill know better next time. The final large piece was stretched and underfolded, glued along the back first, and then formed to the edges, glued sparingly and weighted a few inches at a time to get it tight. I did steam iron each piece before putting it in, started with the sides, and back, then the middle.

Great job! I just finished reinstalling the one in my J20 yesterday, altough it's just the stock black material. I think the desert version of the USMC digital camo would look good in my Chero.....someday<g>.

Great job Bill
Are you going to camo the sunvisors?
Have you tried 3M spray glue?

3M Super 74 Foamfast (original clear) works well, try to avoid the Foamfast 74 orange, stays tacky and will pull away especially when it gets warm. It works good when both sides are coated and let tack but watch for bleed thru on the fabric side.
