I remember previous conversation about that photo here. Someone had spoken to a person who worked for Warn at the time and confirmed that the photo had been doctored to look much hairier than it was.
At least I think I'm remembering that correctly....
ps - By the way, I would love a copy of that poster!

That is one of the coolest pics I've seen. If the poster is 1975, must've been done the "old way" in the darkroom.

I thought that was the driveway to Flint's mountain retreat.

Old trail
I thought I remember reading on here that it was a trail that was shut down long ago.
I've been looking at that poster at an old buddy's shop that he's had & looked old & greasy then, since I started hanging out there when I was 16.
Love to see one of those on ebay.
Heck even a reprint would be nice.

Retouching is easily done in broad daylight. I was doing in the mid 1950’s. There were several ways to ‘Doctor’ B&W pictures. We used, on negatives, India Ink to convert black to white or lighter shades and scrapers on the emulsion to convert white to darker shades.
… In this case the rocks and FSJ can be cut from one photo and laid on a photo of the trees then photo copied and a little retouching and you have it!. Duck Soup!
Have a good one while you can still laugh about it.. Don S..
Why is it that the politicians in D.C. are the only ones that don’t know there are better things to make Ethanol out of than corn?… Answer… They know! They know! Guess why they don’t correct the problem.

Pretty much the reaction I got from my wife when she saw the opening trail ride to DonS's Poughkeepsie Gulch video.
