How Much are J Truck Tail Gates Worth?

I have a line on two very used tail gates which appear to be straight but have rust and dent issues. How much are they worth and how much could I expect to get off of Ebay?

Since most people looking to buy a tailgate are looking to replace one that already has "rust and dent issues", I wouldn't expect to get too much.

I've seen pretty nice used ones go for $100 to $150 on ebay, with NOS and "new take-offs" going for upwards of $500. I paid $225.00 a couple years ago for a new take-off early Gladiator gate that was perfect, and consider it a smokin' deal.

Depending on the degree of rust and dents, maybe $50.00 and up?

not confused here. You can have a non-bowed tailgate that has the usual back up dent on the top lip.

fifty bux give or take isnt worth the effort to ebay it then ship imo.

When I was looking 6-months ago, I saw "good" ones going for $150.00 with minor dent and no hits on the top rail.

I have two tailgates I need to sell. Both have issues but I think one could make a good one from both of them if your still needing one?
