hi all, just started searching for that dream GW and have much to learn. but i'm curious: one of the things i want is the third seat. was that stock or an option? or maybe stock in some years but not others? if i find a waggy i like that lacks the 3rd row seat, what can i do about it?

As far as I know, there never was a third row seat in FSJs.

If you plan on throwing kids back there in it, be sure that ALL your rear seals are super tight. I remember being put back in the cargo area and emerging half dead after a few hours

$1300 for that seat installed is INSANE. I bet a baby jeep rear seat would work fine.

Yes they do fit like a glove. I had a rear seat out of a YJ and was going to do the same thing, but lost the need. I set it in as a mock-up, and was impressed at how it fit. The only thing I saw, was that the rider would have to have VERY short legs.

I did the same thing for my wifes XJ for a short time. Mounted a TJ rear seat facing the back. It was for a 3 and 5 year old.
