I've got a 32 spline short GM input for a 205. What do you need off it?

Thanks Brutus..
well.... i THINK the GM 32 input will slide right on to the output shaft of a GM (slip-yoke) NP208. the FSJ / etc fixed yoke NP208's are 32 spline also (like the slip-yoke GM's) but they have a slightly different major/minor diameter. the FSJ fixed yoke will start onto the GM output shaft, but you would have to hammer it on, really really hard, and you would probably never get it back off.
with a GM np205 input, now i need to find someone close to you with a GM slip yoke 208... (unless you just want to sell me the input gear...)
i know the ford 31 spline np205 input slides right on to the ford 31 spline np208 output.... but slip yoke ford 208's are sorta rare...
peace

sorry for the delay. i check it on friday but forgot my camera.
anywho,
it does fit and fits all the way into the input. and it was real easy to put on. no binding or anything.
this shows how far the 205 input went in.
(w/ the slip yoke housing the shaft would only go on about 2 inches. then got bound up on the housing. w/ out the housing it worked fine. )

DUDE, thanks a ton, i certainly owe you a frosty mug of your favorite adult beverage.
now... the 64 dollar question...
from the fit, would you say that those splines were correct for each other?
thanks again
Dave

it fit like it was made for it. it slid on and off easily, but had little to no play once it was on. felt just like it was on the th400 shaft that it was suppose to go to.

well. if a guy had enough wheelbase, you could just stick a GM 32 spline 205 right onto the back of a 208, with an adapter between the rear of the NP208 and the face of the 205. no shafts. just a housing spacer deal.
of course, it would not be impossible to cut the spline further up the shaft(it gets much bigger after that necked down portion) and shorten the assembly up considerably for a stock WB waggy/cherk.
I am at 116 right now, and by simply chopping off a few inches of the NP208 output, (see zip-tie location) i should have room for an NP 205 after the 208.
one of the trans/t-case combos i have in stock is a 465/208 late GM unit. run the numbers with the 465/208/205 and 4.10's and you have a crawl number of about 137 to 1...
of course, you could just plop a GM slip-yoke style output shaft into a jeep 208 and run a ford (driver drop) or GM/Dodge (pass drop) 205 with a GM 32 input in it and you are in business. the NEXT big question i have to answer is....
will the 208 output shaft go into the planetary of a 229........
peace
Dave

I thought that may be where you're headed with it.
