Dies going uphill

Heres what is going on. Twice now while either going up hill or just finishing a hill climb my jeep dies. After it sits for awhile and I prime it it fires back up. I was think maybe I had vapor lock but my engine temp is in the middle of the green. I have a new mechanical fuel pump and am running MC2100. I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas. Maybe add a electric fuel pump?

the temp gauge measures the water temp within the engine. The temp that would cause vapor lock is the ambient temp within the engine bay.

My vapor lock got much worse going up hills.

How steep of a hill? Could either be vapor lock or fuel starvation.

If vapor lock your best bet is an electric fuel pump plumbed either inline with the mechanical pump or as a stand alone. Routing the fuel lines away from heat sources also helps. Draping a wet towel/cloth or pouring water over the fuel pump and filter will help bring the Jeep 'back to life' sooner when it vapor locks.
