Rusty's/Hell Creek

I was going to go with Rusty's 'cause I can be there in about 20 minutes from my house and would save a couple hundred in shipping costs over BJ's, which I would rather use, but I can't see spending the extra money. Then I started hearing about Hell Creek and did some reasearch. I can be there in a couple of hours and would still save a ton on shipping even with today's gas prices. Anyway, I contacted Hell Creek and was told that even if I drove over to MS to pick up the kit I would have to pay the shipping to get it from the supplier to their shop/office. I thought that was kind of strange, and disappointing. I would rather have an all spring kit. However, with money constraints it looks like it's Rusty's for me.

Rusty's sells an all spring kit. Unless you are refering to the 6" kit which uses 2" blocks in back. Hell creek used to make the springs for Rusty's, but they now use a place out of canada.

This sounds like this it what its coming to. I was at 4wheelparts looking at getting a new set of tires, talked to the salesman and he said would you like to look at them and I said sure.

I then decide I wanted them so he rang me up and handed me the quote and it was for about $180 dollars extra. I ask him what that was for and he said shipping fee.. I said they are right in the back of the store, why do I have to pay you to ship a new set? He said thats what the stores policys are...

funny how that all works, huh? they tell you what you want to hear and then really "give it to you" when your feeling good about it.

I thought I would chime in to clear things up a bit.

Dirtball, You misunderstood me. I said that the shocks and U-bolts, which we buy elsewhere, would have to be shipped, since we don't stock them. We make the springs here.

Stuka, I'm sure what you meant to say was that Rusty's used to buy our springs, like the ones that you have, but now they buy them from Canada.

Yes, thats what I ment. I did not mean to imply you guys got your springs from canada.

I have had a 4" and 6" set from you guys via Rusty's and they have been great springs.

I asked for info on Ebay... all I got back was that I would still have to pay shipping; nothing was said about just u-bolts or shocks or anything. I'm sure you get lots of requests for info on Ebay. No biggie... this puts you guys back in the ballpark, though. I want a 6" without blocks. Exactly where in MS are you guys again?

Thanks for clearing things up...

Hi, Paul,

We are in New Albany, MS. That is 23 miles WNW of Tupelo, MS, on US Hwy 78. BTW I HATE eBay messaging. It does not link questions and responses so that you can look back and see what was asked or said. Regular e-mail is much better. Ours is tlaher@hellcreeksuspensions.com.

Thanks,
Tom

The salesman was trying to f*** you. That is nonsense.

You can also order over the phone and have them ship it to a local 4WP store and avoid shipping.

jeeping1974,

Yes, we will sell individaul springs, but we only deal from Mississippi. We do not have any distributors.

Please, for sales information, e-mail me at tlaher@hellcreeksuspensions.com, otherwise we will have to switch to the Vendor portion of this forum.

Thanks,
Tom

You have already proven to have the best system for these rigs, and I can personally vouch that you are the best to deal with. It was an absolute pleasure to buy from you.
