View from the top of the pass

Flint pointing out the mine that is reachable below the pass, but it's a tad narrow for FSJs

view down the hill from the approach

F&K chillin on a rock at our first stop.

I have to say, as fun as the sights are at Ouray, all this in our backyard is pretty dang awesome. We all felt stupid for living here this long and never checking out what all the tourists have been :P Also the traffic up there was LIGHT, and oodles more polite than what we normally encounter on the trails.

Makes me wanna hit the trails in my own 'backyard' a bit more. Probably the right coaster in me talking but I still can't get over the 'trail traffic' out here, best part is trails are free
