Calipers

Do the calipers for front discs need to be torqued to specs? I need to take them off to see if there is a rock in my pads cause it screaches horribly.

I usually go by feel, but I've been wrenching for a living a little over 10 years, usually the only thing I break out the torque wrench for is engine work, and some bearings.

just make sure that they are snug. that is good enough. just do not over tighten them. otherwise you can strip out the threads.

If you need rotors let me know, I have a pair on an axle I'm stripping, if they are within spec yet I can turn them and ship them to you for a price ofcourse, they are from an 80, but should be the same, if not I"m sure someone will chime in.

Torque setting...

I did my calipers today and torqued them to 35 ft lbs. I try and use the torque wrench when I can...I tend to overtighten things....and since it cost a lot of $$$ I'm getting my monies worth.
