I thought I could resist the addiction.

Alas, I have succum to the urge to buy another one...

A local guy was gettin' rid of this for a mear 550 bucks, but I talked him down to 450 an' towed him home today

It is a 1978. 306, 4 spd, Dana 44 Front an' Rear. 33 inch tires. 6 inch blocks in the back. SOA fronts (Not sure if that is stock). It has 6 bolt chev axles.

The PO left the key in when he got stuck an' fried the points. The starter is toast too. Other then that the 360 was running well.

I mainly got this because the fenders are VERY pretty, as well as the roof. Floor is gone an' inner fenders are goin'. Glass is good too. So Skoodge (66) will get the clean fenders an' i think I'll chop the roof off to put on my other cab (Brow is messed up on the 66) <--You think I should try? I don't feel like fixin' another set of floor boards.

That leaves me to what I will do with this one. Should I:
a) Chop the roof off an' make a roll cage with a canvas top, attach bent up fenders, fix the engine (To use as a bush truck)
b) Part her out
c) Fix the other cab

Mmm, yummy green moldy. lol. It looks pretty good from the pics, flatbed looks nice, cab corners don't look rusty. Is the cab good enough to fix the floor? It could be worth something to someone then. Otherwise I vote for brush truck, choptop with canvas roof and a flatbed = awesome truck. Just do the rear lift right and make sure the front soa is good and safe, then enjoy.

Looks like the PO put down new sheet metal with more 1 1/4 inch screws an' LOTs of bondo. It will be a PITA to remove but might be worth it. The roof is great, 1 small ding, no bondo or welds on it that I can find. All metal. Small dings on the rockers, an' the cab corners are a bit dented.

Only major rust I can find is on the floor pans an' the inner fenders as well as some on the rad support.

You suck. That thing looks great. That's a $2500 truck around here judging from the pics.

I found a "$3000 CND only serious offers" sign in the back of the cab so I'm feelin' lucky. Goin' to have to grind out the bondo an' the screws to fix the floor but this thing is spiffy.

Is it possible to remove the roof to use as parts for my 66? My 66 is pitted from a a ballpeen hammer repair (PO) but the floor pans are good. If so, I might go with a canvas top an' built in roll bar for this truck

FSJ law states clearly you are not allowed to chop anything you can get that shiney

I'd go find a turd of a truck to cut up for parts, that's a keeper.

Lol, fair enough. Regardless I have to fix a roof an' a floor in' one or the other truck, so I might as well get on it while the sun is out.

This lil' beauty is growing on me fast, I'll probably have it runnin' next weekend so I can take it for a spin. Makin' me want to finish my 66 project though, lol

That IS a keeper from what I can see. Too bad the stake bed is so close to the rear wheels. But heck, just wheel it!
