Picts of J trucks with flatbeds
I was thinking of putting a flatbed on my 82 J-10, but wanted to see if anyone had picts of one just to see what they look like. I would probably build it my self and I need some ideas as to what it should look like.
thanks,
Matt

Its a good looking truck. If I ever built a J-Truck for offroadin' purposes it'd look something like that one.

My "work in progress" - it doesn't compare to the two posted above, but....

Hey Tex, is that your J? Got more pics? I thought I was the only small rear windower here.

I think it looks great! You can see how it is coming together. I would change the wood sides to metal or taper the wood down towards the rear, but that is why we all build different jeeps! Keep it up.

I love the look of your truck, Jode. I would have to vote against the sides tapering and the wood gives it a look that I really like. Any more pictures?

Can't beat the payload.
Do it!
Can post some other detailed pics later if you want... 6x8' 6" HD metal channel frame, 4" channel for 3 frame supports and 3 cross members to support bed, numerous 4" C channelpockets around the side, diamond plate wall at front of bed, 2x bed lumber slides right into the gap between the 4" and 6" frame..

I saw this on a Toyota. I'm thinking about doing this on my J10. I like how the bed is cut in to allow for lots of travel.
