I am really down for any trails because I have never wheel'd there. So anything 4 or less works for me. Looks like most trails are 4 and under... http://www.4x4now.com/mu4wd.htm

Anyone else?

I figured if we actually get anything resembling the kind of turnout the other two events have then, yeah, this should be a separate area like the Ouray ones. Let's see what happens with it being sticky for now...

I've been to Moab quite a few times with FSJ folk but I think it'd be a riot to have 10-20 rigs show up.

Trails I haven't done and want to: Behind the Rocks tip-toe, Cliffhanger, Crystal Geyser, Flat Iron Mesa, Metal Masher, Sevenmile Rim, Steel Bender, Strike Ravine, Secret Spire, Top of the World. Looking at my Moab book by Wells, there's probably another half-dozen not mentioned that I haven't done.

I'd re-do: Rose Garden Hill, Kane Creek, Hell's Revenge, Porcupine Rim. Fins'n'Things is good shakedown/warmups and could be talked into it. I'm pretty easy. My only goal is to try and do at least one new trail and to try the "triple threat" trail again and get off comfortably before sunset.

Here's another list, on TrailDamage: http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php

Hey Guys, I'm going to follow this post. I haven't been to Moab in my wagon yet. Still getting the bugs worked out before making a long run like Moab. I would love to meet up with your group. I'm going to try and make the end of Easter Safari and spend so time with FSJ too. Look for me.

I hope to get Krista to go too. Ryan too if we have his beast together. Just need good Quadratracs right? Will be there early morning on April 19. Can we meet at the City Market around 8-8:30 before we hit the trails for the day? I want to camp. By April, I have cabin fever and camping outside at Moab is just the ticket.

You do realize that there are 12 days between EJS and FSJ's right? From what I understand it probably takes all of 12 days to clean up after EJS!

I'm gonna play it by ear for now.
I am definately going to try and make it. I have some walls to get around though. My co-pilot has spring break the last week of March so I have to convince my better half that Emma needs to skip school for 3 days in April. I also have a 2 week Canada fishing trip in July that I have to save $ and vacation time for. I also need to change my rear spring perch angle before then.

But just in case we go....I'm gonna start collecting spare Ujoints and driveshafts (and rear windows) now.

If we go we'll be camping again.

Matt

I really need to go to Moab soon but I am not sure If it can be done next spring. I will post as it gets closer. Sounds like a good gathering brewing.

I have some 1310 U-joints I will sell you... almost brand new.

Heimeken... hope you can make it. I was really disappointed when you didn't make Ouray this year. How is the job going anyways?

Scott... your Wag is running now right? Why wouldn't it make it?

Take me off the tentative list. I'll definitely be there in a tent. At a campground with a shower preferably.

Thanks for taking the lead on this Jason. I like the map idea brother.

If any of you ever have time to run Lockhart Basin, it can be done in a day, but more comfortable in 2 days with camp over along the way. There is some incredible scenery on that run. It goes from just outside Monticello up to Moab.

Ditto!!!
Moab is definatly on my list of palces to wheel! Unsure if I'll try and make it, Bart and I have been bench racing a bunch of changes to Crom and are finally starting to nail down our mods. for next year! Unfortunatly since I am only home on the week ends the work will go slow, but should result in a more efficent trail truck!

Cummon Charlie... it is only 4 days worth of wheeling... you could even leave early if you wanted to. CROM should be able to make most trails as it sits right now. Do as many mods as you can before April 19... whatever doesn't get finished... do after April 22. SIMPLE!

I know that I find it easier to get motivated to complete projects if there is a LOOMING date out there when I have to have them completed.

fair nuf Matt...
Seen that done on the Lockhart Basin trip too... I had 3" nerfs back then and it was the first time I drug them. They were sold by the next year.

another camping option

Matt just shared a site he found for camping. It is worth a look if you want running water and electricity.
