quadratrac 101

just bought a 74 wagoneer that had been in a barn for 20 years this thing is rock solid, noticed a hissing sound from 4wd switch (glovebox} went to the parts store a hour later i left with no leads on a new vacuumn switch. cannot find tag on transfer case says borg warner on bottom? where can i get a switch and what transfer case do i have i apoligize for my ignorace its my first jeep

May not be a problem with the switch itself, but could be the hoses rotted off the back of it, you will most likely find a lot of hoses that will be in need of replacing. If you do find that the Q-trac switch is leaking, here is all you need to do to fix it, once you remove it from the glovebox.

By the way you would have the Borg & Warner Quadra-Trac T-Case. Do you have low Range in your rig? Welcome to this fine forum, by the way Where do you live in Michigan?

it has a low range lever below the dash i live in clare is it fulltime 4wd

Yes it is Full Time 4wd unless someone has converted it to Part Time with a Kit that is available, but that sounds unlikely. Your T-Case is a Borg & Warner 13-39

thanks for the info I cant wait to add some tires and a lift its bone stock down to the original rims
