Question What happened to TRUCKS! tv show?

Does anyone know what happened to the host of trucks tv show? I used to watch that show and although the host was a little goofy it usually was informative and he had some really cool projects. Its because of the special he did on the chreokee that got me curious about fsj's and now i love them. Turned on the tube last weekend and now they have the two screaming morons who spend all the time mugging for the camera and shouting into it. Was wondering if anyone knew what happened to Stacey David the original host?

Thanks for the link janie. I have to admit that i kinda miss him too alot of the projects he did had practical application for all four wheelers and the show was a fairly good source for interesting new products. It just makes me sad that the rtm productions thinks that every show has to be "extreme" and replaced an average joe with two thugs. I'm not to far outside their target audience age and i can't stand that show now.

"screaming morons who spend all the time mugging for the camera"

Yep! The loudmouth-look-at-me crowd. If you are otherwise-unemployable, go into acting or 'media'. Doesn't that sum up most everything on TV? I stopped turning it on 10-years ago and never regretted it.

Yeah i think stone cold steve austin should sue that guy for illeagally inpesonating him. Or at least for taking stupidity to new lows. As for the other guy i thought he looked familiar had no iddea that he was on power rangers but with two kids in the house i vaguely remember his face on one of their shows.

Hate the new show. Tried watching it once...never again.

Stacey was a little goofy, but in a cool way. He was a real guy doing real things to trucks.

I agree about the "need" for extremification on the Power Block. Very lame. Maybe if I was 17, uneducated, and fed beer and chili since birth....

i understand different strokes for different folks but i have a hard time believing that some suit in a corner office felt that tweedle dumb and tweedle dumber would be a good replacement.

A friend of mine acutally met stacey at the Fords at Carlisle show in last month. He was there giving a presentation about something. But my buddy got to talk to him and he said he was a really nice guy. He asked him "hey what is the grille for? (my buddy had bought a grille for a 70 torino) he told him what it was for, then he says " oh wow those things are cool. Nobody really builds them much. Hey, did you see that ranchero I had on the show?
My buddy says yeah. Stacey says "that thing was awsome". Then my buddy goes on to tell him he doesn't watch the show anymore since he left. he says "thats ok ive got another show coming out pretty soon so keep an eye out for it". He gave my buddies wife an autograph.

I thought it was pretty cool that he is pretty down to earth and would take time to have a converstation with a him.

Yeah the good shows are few and far between so when one disappears is really sucks. I dont want to start anything but i agree that xjs aren't really fsjs. But no reason to look down on a fellow 4xer who takes pride in his ride. Your description of Stacey is pretty much what i expected - someone more or less like us who just happpened to get a tv show. Speaking of the show has anyone seen the episode where he shows how to make homemade diesel fuel? Was wondering if anyone here had bought the kit and tried it.

Com on ya'll.... What's more fun than spending two months paychecks on computer programs for your new truck that you just signed a note on for the next 6 years?
How bout owning a truck that doesn't need a computer to run!!!
