anyone got some pix of how they mounted their winches?i want to mount my warn 12000 on my 76 wt but i want to keep the stock bumper.when i had it on my 79 i just mounted it to the square tube bumper i made for it.i would like to make it as "clean" as possible.

David Allen (of david allen racing) has a sweet looking setup. He just removed the center piece of the bumper, leaving the outer pieces and put the winch in the middile. It looks sweet.

mine attaches to the front of the winch though.his does look real clean.maybe i can do something like that.

thanks stuka and bob.i mounted it similar to david allens.i removed the center of the 3 pc bumper and welded the end pcs right to the winch "cradle"bracket.
ill get some pix soon.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked how I have mine mounted. It gives it a nice clean look and doesn't stick out to far as to take away approach angles.

Hey dave, what size lift springs are those on the front of your chero? They look like they have way more arch then my 6" springs.

They are a mix match of leaves. I believe that they are around 7.5" of total lift.  They started as custom 6" springs from about 15 years ago. They then progressed through several rebuilds and upgrades to end up where they are now. The remarkable thing is that for such arched springs, they ride fairly decent and flex really well.

give me another week i an almost finished building my bumper. it looks kinda like the enforcer bumpers warn makes. (similar to law enforcement bumpers. just have to put on the fromt skin and paint it.
