well, after 5 years of sitting, my wag will finally be moving under it's own power this holiday season. I will be using my christmas break to finish it up and get it all together.
Thanks to grimgaunt for the transmission deal!
all that is really left to get is the engine, or rebuild my blown 396 with later model square port heads for the EFI manifold. I got a good deal on a painless standalone TBI harness, and a 747 ecm, so i now have everything except the engine and the high-steer done. I can't hardly wait! after i get it running, i'm gonna weld the hell out of the diffs and go romping through the woods for a shakedown. then when it stops snowing, i'll slice up the roof.
here's the lowdown on the rest of my drivetrain, all of which is ready to go in except moving the perches and swapping discs onto the 14 bolt.
*rear 14 corp. 14 bolt, 4.10's, discs, welded diff
*dana 60 front, 4.10's, welded
*driveshafts from one-ton truck
*np-205 round pattern, with factory GM th400 adapter
*GM th400, one-ton style with 32 spline shaft
*motor undecided, pending teardown of blown 396
*GM TBI on painless harness
*bumpers nearly finished, warn 8274 for the front till I can get a 12k ramsey, 5k warn rear winch, for anchoring me when pulling.
*2" alcans front with GM SOA perches on dana 60.
*rear shackle flip and hybrid YJ/FSJ springs.
****should net about 8" lift, we shall see****
other mods include (because most of this crap is sitting on my floor waqiting for install, haha):
*crew-cab chopped roof with half-soft back
*full cage, frame & seat tied, bumper & slider tied
*rear 1/4 panels chopped all to hell (in progress now)
*front WT fenders, sans-flare
*tube armor tied to cage, sliders, and bumpers
*rear tuffy tool drawers, fender-top boxes, fuel cell and tire mount in the rear short-bed.
*tuffy center and overhead consoles, with CD, CB, and scanner on board. infinity speakers all around (since I have them sitting there).
*all-metal door panels with after market TJ armrests/door pulls. doors have been welded where the skins and braces always crack (by the vent windows).
*on board air AND delco alternator-welder, for trail fixes.
*hella 8" massive lights on the front bull bar, kc's as needed. tractor-type rock lights.
*gladiator grille, M-715 headlight buckets/rings, hella H4 retrofit glass & silverstar lamps, M-715 turn signal housings in the center holes.
i know it sounds like a lot, but most of this junk is already setup, just needs to be installed. I've had 5 years to collect all this crap, now i have to put it to good use! wish me luck, i'll add pics as i get things installed.

no, the people with the dually stopped answering my emails. not sure what their deal is, they seemed kinda greedy to me.
I know it's a long list, but the good thing is that most of it just has to be installed. it's not all do-or-die jusnk to get it going either. just gotta get the engine figured out and then it's no sweat after that.
