i hyave that setup. siple, easy, but not cheap. I bought mine from ORD, but there are some out there half the price now and I hear just as good.
Totally simple boltup deal. I even bought my shifters from ORD.

Cool, post it up, send it over, however.
I have been looking for a 205 for the wag-o-wackjob, then this 203 just fell into my lap.
Might as well have another change of plans now.
Thanks

The 203 a TH400 version? I take it, and you have the adaptor for it? and the TH400 output?

Uh,
Don't know
Not yet
Not yet.
Why, any of these things harder to change than anything else I'm doing?
Like I said, it fell in my lap, I was not looking for it

OK, lots to read thru and lots to search for then. Not like I get anything done quickly anywho.
Once the TH400/Dodge 208 leaves the room there will be a vacant spot to get filled up anyway

I'm new to all this fancy FSJ jargon, but what's a Doubler? I'm guessing it's something similar to a Klune, but that's just cause you're associating with the Tranny and T-case.

Doubler is a dual transfer case setup that allows you variable options for gear ranges...
below is a ORD Doubler comprised of a NP203 and NP205...each case in the doubler still gives you the H/L option for gearing... think about it..
Here is a quick link to read up,,,

What about doubler made from the range box of a quadratrac is that the same thing as the 203's range box?

People do the 205/203 combo cause they can fit together, and because they are both strong as hell. Anything else I would think couldnt handle the torque multiplication. Some go klune 205 or atlas which is a strong setup also. I currently have my shift rails at ORD being machined, so I can twin stick my 205. They seem real knowledgable about the doubler.
Just my .02, your gonna spend at least $1000 doing a doubler. You can get the klune and spacer for $1575. The 2.7 klune/205 will give you a lower crawl ratio than the doubler and is just as strong if not stronger. Plus it will be about 100lbs lighter and takes up less room. And it is bolt right up for most applications. Then just twin stick your 205 as originally planned. Just another option. Dennis

I too had a 203 fall in my lap so to speak, when I blow the q-trac I'll start looking closer at the doubler setup.

Thanks Lurker, that one did not come up in a search.
I really want to hear from folks that run a 203/205 doubler in an FSJ.
No offense to all who posted intended or implied here.
There has to be at least one of you that has one of these setup, that is moving, and is done?
Pic's?
