****, it's been awhile since I've really posted anything. I've been busy lately with holidays, family stuff, etc. Then I got sick for about 3 weeks and I'm finally getting better from that.
Anyhow, we had an absolutely beautiful day this past Sunday so a buddy of mine and I went out to do some wheelin. The plan was to ride a creekbed that runs up the side of Aetna mountain and takes about 3-5 hours to complete. It's a hardcore ride and neither of us had ever done it but wow it was one of the best rides I've been on. We had planned to do part of the creekbed, turn around, then go up on the mountain and play but we ended up doing the creekbed from beginning to end. It was definitely the most technical trail I've ever done. I had my Atlas in low and used granny about 98% of the time which is sloooow. Normally I just put the Klune in low and use 1st and 2nd which is pretty standard. The trail took about 3 hours to run and goes all the way to the top of the mountain. It's everything you'd expect a creekbed to be...waterfalls, huge boulders, really tight areas, cracks, badass ledges, running water, etc. The scenery was awesome but the trail took all of my concentration. It's not like Tellico where you roll easy **** for an hour to do a major obstacle then roll easy **** again back to camp. It was obstacle after obstacle with rockgarden in between everything. After the ride (5 hours total) I was just beat but had am amazing time. My buddy and I were both running dual cases so he and I were crawling along at a great pace. It was just **** fun and I can't wait to run it again. Here's some pictures and I'll post some video later.

Honestly, not really. Of course, I haven't done anything blantantly stupid but I will say this. Everything I ever did in Whitefoot that I thought was hardcore I've walked in the buggy. To say it has blown my mind would be an understatement.
The 'Yota did really well also. He didn't have quite as easy a time but his rig always impresses me. It's got 38 SXs, spools f/r, 5.29 gears, dual cases, Alcan springs f/r, V6, manual, and chromoly birfs. It's a really well built rig and I enjoy wheeling with him because he's always right there with me. I got some more vids up, some of the Yota, a couple more of me, etc. Check them out.

I always thought the low gearing wouldnt work as well out here in the east but I guess I was wrong. Have you ever needed to take it out of low to get over an obstacle? Cool vids
