starter solinoid, front steel brake line broken off, and transfer case nuked.

*Sold to move* off the frame tube buggy, front 35spline HPd60, rear 35 spline D60. Np203/205 doubled with 3.2 to 1 gear in the 203. TBI 350/th400. Full hydro. and 44s. come get some.

What T-case is that and what is the story? What did you do? Don't leave us hanging man!

yeah thats my np208, it loved all over itself. we were just trying to make it up a muddly, rocky, stumpy ledge. thats all. jason didn't brake though.

Kinda looks like Timex's old "bottomless transfer-case". There should be some good spare parts left, and the rest you could just mount on the wall somewhere as a trophy

well heres basically what i think was the problem. for one, the transfercase may have been weak. cause when i removed the rear seal the trailshaft housing was broken. i had to replace that a month ago. but when i was wheeling, the situation was a muddy hill with a lot of stumps, then it turned to some rock at the top. and there was a lot of traction at the top. so i finally got to the top the last time and gave it a little. and you could just feel the front hop around. so i figured it just had no traction in the back becasue the back was still n the mud, and the front just had so much traction and a week case...game over.

One nice thing about the NP205 cases is the support brace that ties the case into the engine. Even with an NP208, that's a lot of case to be suspending off the tranny-adapter unsupported by anything but the adapter bolts.
