Ok, so I ran into a minor snag doing the TBI upgrade this weekend.

I didn't mind so much the bootyfab exhaust:



But I did run into some serious issues that will have to be addressed before the engine goes back in:





It's a good thing I pulled this engine apart when I did. It didn't have much more life left before those blown bearings caused some serious problems. So, it's off to the machine shop for some rework and new bearings. Then I'll finish the TBI install.

Bummer! I'd say that merits a rebuild, post haste! BTW, you need a hand at all?

It's going to the machine shop this next week. Since this isn't my daily driver, I'm not in a huge hurry. In a week or two I'll be putting it all back together. If you want to drive all the way to the west side of Fort Worth, you're more than welcome.

That's what I thought. This is the better of the two ways you can find out your cam bearings are shot.
