My wag is leaking tons of coolant but my hood wont open is there any trick to getting it open when the latch int the cab won't work. Whem I pull it nothing happens it is like it is not even hooked up. I have tried pushing on the hood to see if it clicks and I also trid pulling the latch with someone lifting on the hood put it wont open.

You need a long screw driver or straight edge to pop the latch under the hood. You should be able to see the latch( use a flashlight if necessary) Just give it a push and it should open. I had to do this all the time on my 81.

Yep, works for me!!!!

You will be pushing the tab that the cable pulls. Look between top of grill and hood. If you look closely you can see both sides of the tab. Might even want to pull up on hood as you do it.....

Good luck
