i have a friend who wants to swap j 10 axels into his old waganeer and do a sping over axle. Do the J10 front dana 44 have to be cut and turned. are the spring pads the correct width apart for a direct bolt up in the rear. can you use the cv shaft from the j10
can you get a way with just using a z bar. I seen this done on many scouts with full width chevy axles but i never seen it done on a jeep wagoneer. How much wider are jeep full size compared to older cherokee do you have to do any grinding on top of the axle to get room for the perch to be welded in the front.

How old a wagoneer?
Is he going SOA or staying SUA?
(he's gonna need lift there somehow for the wider wheel base up front)
Cutting and turning is not required.
Perches are same width up front (32" OC).
Rear perches will need to be moved (narrower frame on wag).
CV shaft depends on years and Tcases.
Z Bar =
Pre Dana44's are around 59" up front, Dana44's are like 61" or so, J10 Dana44 will be around 67".
Grinding for SOA = Yes, but it can be minimized.

Check the TT's Fabworks link in my sig for a lot more info.
