I have a NP242 AMG and a 4l80e sitting in my garage from an H1 hummer.
My shaft appears much shorter than a standard 2wd 4l80e.
It is 3" long (stick out) from the rear of the 4l80e case.
Can provide you pics & measurements if you need 'em?
EDIT: It's for sale as well if interested?Last edited by babywag; 02-20-2015, 12:06 PM.Tony

We are waiting to mount the trans and transfer case to see if it clears the fuel tank (which supposedly isn't a problem on 80+ trucks), and if we used a different style accessory drive we would have had to relocate the battery. The oil pan (whatever style that this motor comes with) is pretty close to the diff, I may end up replacing it with a truck style one, but this is going to have a lift on it too, so I may end up leaving it.

Radiator and hydroboost are in! The radiator is awesome, as well as the fan shroud, Novak makes some amazing stuff! I would definitely recommend them if you're considering an LS swap into an SJ. (the hydroboost isn't mounted correctly in that picture BTW, I didn't realize it utilizes the old plate off of the stock booster)

Still have PLENTY of room with the motor mounts on the middle setting. In case we have to move everything forward for the 242 to clear the gas tank.Last edited by ls3waggy; 03-06-2015, 11:34 PM.

That's exactly the info I was looking for! Thanks! Swap is looking good!Lots of rigs, parts, and lost knowledge.
