KC light mounting.
anyone ever try mounting KCs on our FSJ's like the yjs and tjs, on the lower corners of the windsheild? http://www.quadratec.com/products/im...2F79166-lg.jpg

Think you could as long as the hood was not in the way... just one thought the CJ has a short front end- where the waggy is longer. You may loose some lighting effect.
But depends on what you are trying to achieve. Light on trails?

On the front. Number one position. On a rack over the cab is OK. Glare will get you on the winsheild area even though there's lots of space to mount them. There's a lot of lost light with them mounted there instead of down on the front. Even on the TJs most people complain about glare & function. I've seen a lot of people remove them from there.

If you can't make it better why waste your time. No use repeating the orignal mistakes. I'm to old to push it that's why.

I have always believed that the manufacturers/sellers of those and similar items simply wanted to take advantage of the convenient, easy to reach pre-existing mounting holes(the winshield bracket) which don't exist on a FSJ. Never semed like a good idea and the glare would be an issue.

I was thinking of mounting some lights on my bumper here.

Yea, I have a nice set of offroad lights, but, I just can't figure out a decent place to mount them on my J-10.
