If you can't make it better why waste your time. No use repeating the orignal mistakes. I'm to old to push it that's why.

But I notice now that is synthetic, and the one I have in the tranny is not. I can mix them? Or better use another ATF?

I understand that, but the Castrol ATF+4 now is fully synthetic. I need only change the oil no overhaul the transmission. So I need something that mix with the oil inside.

save your money. put good old dexron III in it. you don't need synthetic in that old school automatic.

Don't mix it!!!!
Even at a good price. I thought you were changing the TF. Get Dexron III be done.
Although I'm running synthetic I would never mix. My tranny was completely rebuilt & started its new life on synthetic. Between the Magnefine filter & the synthetic I expect a long life out of it.

I can mix Dexron III with ATF? If so it is good, because Dexron III it's cheaper...
I have a 727 tranny, and on the manual it say only Dexron II or ATF, ATF Plus, Type 7176...

Yes D3 and ATF together will be fine.
I am using Valvoline ATF+ in my Cummins/A518 to help dissapate heat generated by pulling the boat.

I toped mine off with a gallon on Valvoline dex/merc when I did my filter and deep pan. No issues.
