Anyone install/fly a flag or banner...what works?

I'd like to fly a guidon off something like a whip antenna..
Maybe a flag once in awhile.

If you have done so, there are bound to be downsides to this idea...
What did you find out?

I use to do this on my old Dodge Ram for football games in college. I just bought a length of pipe, drilled some holes to mount a 3x5 flag, wrapped the pipe in black tape, and stuck it in the stake hole on the bed. Could drive down the highway without issues... Actually had 2 of them (Texas flag & Texas Tech flag) mounted on poles.

Arrow

I drilled a hole in the receiver hitch, welded a nut to it, attached a flag to a long piece of all thread and screwed the all thread into the nut. Works great.

The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.
