Dumb question, size of the factory exhaust pipe?

My truck came with a "creatively engineered" exhaust setup and I don't have the original to measure.

I'm wondering what the diameter of the stock exhaust system was. I currently have 2-1/4" pipes coming off the manifolds in a full dual system. I'm betting the Y pipe has that size but what is it after they join? I'm going to guess 2-1/2" but can anyone confirm this?

Thanks.
