My Waggy, Tonka restoration... Done!!!

I got the Tonka, for $5,20... Now I will try to reproduce my Grand Wagoneer, so pretty much repaint it and put some wood on the side...
Here after I toke it home...

Ten minutes later it was in all pieces... I notice that this one, probably because it is a Cherokee, doesn't have the rear seat... So I can leave it so or tri to reproduce them. Will see...

Yes, you need to pull and twist them.

Typical. Even with our TOY trucks, the minute we get them home, they're in pieces! LOL!

Is it just me or is that some kind of hybrid boobie/cheese grater grille?

So do you think I will buy another Tonka "just for parts"?

Looks so... For what I understand the Tonkas Waggy/Cherokee, came only with a kind of Rhino and Boobie grille.
Also the Tonksas with the boobies, came with bigger tires, another plus.

Now it is in the paint stripper...

I saw it, but it is kind of pricy... I would like the interior, because it has the 2 seats, mine only one. But I can make another seat easily.

I never thought of taking one apart. Maybe I could put it on an R/C car chassis.

Just what I need, another unfinished Jeep project!

Thats just great, now I'm looking for one. Did you use a self-etching primer and how many coats did you use? I would expect nothing less than 3 coats of color and 2 coats of clear from you.
