My '88 GW build
I decided to do a little freshen up on my 360 this weekend, well starting the freshen up anyway. I have been having a few issues with the truck ever since I bought it 8 months ago nothing serious, just annoying little things. I've been wanting to tear into the engine just to check it out more than anything. It has 158,000 on the clock, and it leaked oil badly. I'm glad I pulled it rather than just reseal it in the truck, because I found a lot of issues. One good thing I found is that the engine is a mopar rebuild from '94 (I assume it was installed sometime in '95). It currently is bored .040" over, and has a .010 under crank grind. The cylinders are very nice looking with no noticeable ring ridge, so I am just going to rehone them and call it good. My plans are to put a edelbrock cam and lifter kit in it and a edelbrock intake (holy crap, the stock one is heavy!), other than that just a simple re ring/bearings/reseal. I am also going to clean up the engine compartment and paint it black. Hopefully I'll have it up and going again in a month. I'd post some pic's, but I don't know how to resize them.
