Bfgs vs mickey vs Michelin AT tires
Hey guys need help deciding which AT tires to get. I just finished with my BDS 4 inch lift and now it's time for some new meats. Please give your opinion and describe what each tire does well. ( ride, off road, mud, street, snow, rain etc.) thanks again.

I have been running BFG ATs for years I absolutely love them for what I do. I run mostly on the street with some beach thrown in. They tackle whatever I throw at them. I have heard they arent good in snow, that could be...we dont see much snow here at all. When I have run in snow, i have had good traction.
I get great mileage out of them before its time to replace.
Heck- I love them so much that I put BFG ATs on my motorhome(they make load range E!)

Just put the 4" BDS lift on my J20 and i went with the BFG's. Im running the same tires on both Wags. Love em. Great on road. Fair off. Not the best in the snow, but not the worst. Best value imho.

The BFG T/A KOs do fine in most stuff, but they do very poorly in certain mud and snow situations in my experience. The best AT tires I ever had were Dayton Timberlines, but BFG shut that line down a year or two back. They did great in everything and had excellent wear life. The BFG T/As are great for wear life as well though.
If I could trade-in the brand new T/A KOs that came on my truck for the Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires or BFG M/T MKs I would be thrilled.

I like the Bfgs. I have run them on several of my trucks and have never had any problems with them. Even in the snow. They used to be a lot more expensive but now they seem to be more competitive so I would go with them.

They seem to work pretty good in the snow around these parts. We've gotten one or two 10"+ snowfalls every year since I moved here, and I always go out to play. They never let me down. I have found two places they don't work. Mud, and clay. They pack up and spin. But that is expected in an AT.

I have also had them on several times and every set i love the first 25k after that they ride like hell... Now that said i have only had them on trucks newer than 90 so they feel the ride alot more. on an old truck they will be great. Love the White walls out. BFG is one of the only mfgr that has solid letters and they look awesome. Agree with previous commment concerning poor performance in clay. In mud you have to stomp the right pedel to clean them out. My favorite all time tire is BFG MT or KO. Just the bomb coolest looking.

I ran 31" bfg AT's on my waggy and now have the 35" on my Cherokee.
I am happy with them. Here is AZ we don't really get much mud. For off road use in the rocky desert they seem to have good grip and I have never punctured one. I have had some NASTY gashes on the sides and yet it still held air. The rocks do tend to rip away tread so that means they can get out of balance. Street wise they are fine. No snow experience.
